Here is the last puppy of the 'Q' litter to leave us. His name is Oscar and he's gorgeous ! On Sunday he will be going to his new home when his new family are back from their holiday in Portugal.
Oscar thinks he's one of the 'big dogs' now!
He's become one of the family, playing with and learning how to behave with our older dogs. They're very tolerant with him, especially his mother, Kiri and father Molsen.
Like all true Weimaraners, he learns very quickly and he's been a real star pupil!
We shall miss him very much when he leaves us, but we know he'll be loved and cherished by
Katie, Grant and their children.

This may be the last posting for this litter. Three of the puppies have now gone to their new homes and families. Another two will go over the weekend and one little boy will stay with us until his family come back from holiday in Portugal.
The puppies have been a delight to all who met them. We hope they will have long and happy lives and become much loved companions, also, we want them to be a credit to our wonderful breed; the Weimaraner.

With so many visitors to see the puppies, I've missed out a week in their development!
At six weeks of age, the puppies go out each day into the puppy pen and spend the day outside to experience the sights and sounds of the big wide world! They have many toys to keep them happy and if the weather changes, they can go into the puppy house and sleep under the lamp.
Each day brings new found skills and adventures.

Friday 28th July the puppies are 5 weeks old. As they're now too big for my kitchen scales, they are off to the Vet's to be weighed and checked over. It's also the first car ride for them and they travel together safely in the car cage. Arriving at the Vet's, they become the centre of attention, each one being fussed and petted before being weighed and then wormed (again)!
Back in the car, we're soon home again and later the puppies go out to the play pen for a sleep in the afternoon heat!

Friday 21st July and the puppies are 4 weeks of age. Now they're really beginning to play with each other and test skills and strength. The weather has been so hot, too hot at times and they do sleep a lot.
However after feeding time (and toilet time) they play for short periods, before falling asleep. Then the whole process starts again at the next meal time!

Saturday lunch and at 22 days old, the puppies are really going for their Purina-Pro Plan puppy kibble, soaked in cooked minced beef gravy.
This is the first time they've had a 'solid' meal, as opposed to milk puddings and they are able to eat and enjoy their food, (as long as it's pre-soaked) with their new baby teeth!
Today is also special as the puppies are now downstairs, ready to take part in all that goes on in and around the kitchen and utility room.
From now on the puppies will be experiencing new sights and sounds daily.
Kiri is with them in their new surroundings, she will make sure all is well.

Today is a milestone in the puppies lives! At 20 days old they're ready for weaning.
They start off with a homemade ground rice pudding, made with Carnation evaporated milk (only the best for Hollieseast puppies!) It's astonishing to think that such babies are ready for this, but they took to the pudding with great gusto! In fact, it was a job to keep them from walking through the dish, they were so eager. Table manners come later!
Kiri had the lovely task of cleaning up their faces and licking out the pudding dish.
Her reward for being such a good mother.

Today (Tuesday) aged 18 days old, the puppies are having a little play session. They look so cute, wobbling around the box and pawing each other. They have also ventured over the side, so I have now put the little step there to help them get in and out. They'll be joining in the London Marathon any day now!!

Here they are aged 17 days, after a lovely feed from Kiri, the puppies are full up with milk!!

At 16 days old, the puppies are becoming real time waster's! Instead of getting on with all that has to be done in the house, I spend ages just watching them interact with each other. Of course they all have to be kissed and cuddled over and over again. So much for house work!
The girls are wearing Apricot, turquoise and Lemon coloured beads. The boys have Blue, Red, Green and Ivory beads.

Today Friday 7th July, the puppies are two weeks old. Their eyes are now open and they're getting to move around the box more and more. After feeding, they have little play sessions, wobbling about, mouthing and pawing their littermate's. They're very sweet to watch.
They weigh on average 2lbs. 8ozs

p.s. they have also had their nails cut today for the first time!

Tuesday 4th July - American Independence day! Kiri's puppies are now 11 days old and starting to make little barks and mouth each other. They're still deaf and blind, but their eyes should be open within the next two days. A lovely thing to see, as the eyes of a Weimaraner puppy are like sapphire's, so blue. Their ears are also starting to open, and the ear flaps are falling forward, as they should do. They no longer look like 'Snoopy' in his flying helmet!!

Puppies are now 9 days old and moving around the box. They continue to gain weight and are also making more noise (in a very sweet tiny puppy way) Kiri is so good and patient. She really is enjoying her puppies and is a model mother.

Today the puppies are one week old. All 7 of them have now more than doubled their birthweight, this is always a good sign of healthy thriving puppies. We shall have more photo's of the litter tomorrow.

The puppies are gaining weight and are looking wonderful. Kiri is really into motherhood and coping brilliantly!
Their Grandmother (Klara) has been to visit them and would love to take over the job of caring for the puppies, but Kiri is not going to let that happen!
Molsen, their sire, thinks they are quite cute right now, but is reserving his judgement until they are a little older.
